VARANASI: The live-in relationship of two gay partners ended on a bloody note after the duo, who had returned home in an inebriated state on Monday night, got into a quarrel over washing utensils.During the clash, Kush Pandey allegedly stabbed his live-in partner, identified as Dipanshu Rai alias Lucky, to death.After inspecting the crime scene, ACP Bhelupur Gaurav Kumar said on Tuesday that the police’s initial investigation revealed that Kush and Dipanshu, aged between 26 and 30, had been living together in a rented room for the past year.Both reportedly spent most of their time at Harishchandra Ghat. They returned to their room at around 10.30 pm on Monday after consuming alcohol. A dispute broke out between them over cooking food and washing utensils.During the altercation, Kush allegedly stabbed Dipanshu in the stomach with a vegetable knife.When police reached the spot after receiving information about the quarrel, Kush allegedly misled the cops by posing as Dipanshu’s wife. However, when police entered the room, Dipanshu was found lying in a pool of blood.Police rushed him to the Trauma Centre at BHU, where doctors declared him dead. The ACP said Kush was arrested and Dipanshu’s body was sent for postmortem examination.During questioning, Kush reportedly told police that he and Dipanshu had been in contact with each other for a long time and claimed that they had also married in a temple.The two lived together in the house like husband and wife. According to police, they often got into arguments and fights after consuming alcohol.
