Ayush Mhatre is expected to miss some games for Chennai Super Kings after injuring his hamstring in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The youngster is currently enjoying success in his batting role at No. 3 position.
Ayush Mhatre set to miss matches with hamstring injury ahead of Mumbai Indians clash
However, while running a quick second run, he suddenly felt pain in his left hamstring. He required medical attention several times before being declared out. When he was walking away from the pitch, he was assisted by the support staff.
Mhatre will be going for a scan on Monday (April 20) as the extent of the damage is yet to be determined, and it will depend on those scan results on when he can play again. Michael Hussey, CSK’s batting coach, revealed that Mhatre’s injury seems to be a torn hamstring, although he has confirmed nothing as of yet.

The coach said that he had been performing extremely well in the past, and will definitely miss him from the team, which also means there is an opportunity for some players to prove their abilities. CSK’s next game will be against Mumbai Indians on April 23.
