Litton Das Returns to Bangladesh Squad for First Test Against Australia After Injury Recovery

Bangladesh have brought back Litton Das to their squad for the first Test against Australia, which starts in Darwin on August 13, 2026. The wicketkeeper-batter had earlier been ruled out with a left calf injury, but after recovering well, he has been added back to the team. Litton originally sustained the left calf muscle injury during the third ODI against Australia at home on June 14, 2026.

Litton Das Returns After Recovering from Injury

His fitness had been a concern in the lead-up to the Test series, and he was formally ruled out of the first Test on July 25, 2026.

“Following positive progress in his recovery from a left calf injury, Litton Kumar Das has been included in Bangladesh’s squad for the first Test against Australia, starting on August 13 in Darwin,” the BCB said.

Litton Das has recovered well during his rehabilitation and is now fit to return to the squad. The Bangladesh Cricket Board believes he is ready for selection for the first Test. He will travel to Darwin on Sunday to join the rest of the team.
