Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who has been staying in India since leaving Bangladesh after the 2025 unrest, recently addressed a press conference in New Delhi. The current Bangladesh government raised objections, saying the event could affect diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The RevSportz report stated that the press conference was organised by a private media organisation and not by the Indian government. Because of that, the event is not expected to become a major obstacle to the proposed cricket tour. Reports suggest the Indian government had no official involvement in the programme.
