While on Alliance, Niti Taylor was often given the “crybaby” tag for being emotional during the game. However, the actor says she has no problem owning that label, insisting that she would rather be known for being emotional and vulnerable than for betraying people or being dishonest in the game.
Niti says, “I am so happy to be known as a crybaby and not a backstabber and betrayer. I was honest, I was vulnerable and I was me. This is me. Yes, I did feel too much emotion and I did cry. But that’s okay.” Adding: “Now you want to call that a crybaby or whatever. I don’t really care if you give me tags.”
Another contestant she feels is misunderstood is Kushal Tandon, because of his personality and the way he communicates. Taylor says she believes there is more to him than what viewers may have perceived during the show: “He just speaks a lot and too much and that is fine. I think he is a little misunderstood person. If you get to know him, he is not bad at heart at all. He is a very nice and sweet person.”
Taylor also names Kushal as one of the masterminds of the game, along with Ali Goni who entered the show as a wildcard. While she feels Kushal had a strong understanding of the game, she says Ali’s entry as a wildcard completely changed the dynamics of the show. “Ali was so strong. I think after the wild card, when he joined the show, it was like he just changed the whole… He changed the whole scenario, the game, the aura, everything. That man, he is a mastermind. Also, everybody adores him and loves him.”
Reflecting on how the contestants approached the game, Taylor says everyone was playing with their best foot forward because nobody wanted to leave. “Sab apna front foot pe khel rahe the, to be very honest. Sab jhund mein ja rahe the, woh toh hai. Bhed chaal toh chal rahi thi,” she says.
For the actor, the biggest takeaway from the journey is what she discovered about herself. “I have learnt so much about myself. I have discovered a new me. A lot of things which I have never done in my life. I have discovered that. And I must say, I am quite strong. I didn’t think I would be this strong. And I would never in my life thought that I would be good in games. I never,” she ends.
