NEW DELHI: West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday ordered action against social media making unsavoury comment against Subhash Chandra Bose.While talking to reporters, Suvendu said, “Those making derogatory remarks against Netaji on social media should immediately delete posts and issue apology,”“I have asked police to arrest those making unsavoury comments on Netaji. Law will be equal for MLAs, MPs, and government officials,” he added.Adhikari also directed all MLAs to set up public service centres in their respective constituencies and name them after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.The chief minister’s direction to the police came days after BJP MP Nagendranath Roy, popularly known as Ananta Maharaj, described Netaji as a “war criminal” and questioned his leadership and the role of the Azad Hind Fauj in India’s freedom struggle.
