Fatima Sana will captain Pakistan at the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup 2026. The selectors have named a 15-member squad for the eight-team tournament, which begins in Dubai on August 28.
Sana missed the T20I series during Pakistan’s recent tour of Sri Lanka. She was away with Birmingham Phoenix and became the first Pakistan woman to play in The Hundred. She now returns to lead the team in the Asia Cup. Sadia Iqbal has also been included after missing the Sri Lanka tour. Gull Feroza returns to the T20I squad after featuring in the one-dayers during the same tour.

Fatima Sana (captain), Ayesha Zafar, Eman Naseer, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Momina Riasat, Muneeba Ali Siddiqui (wk), Najiha Alvi, Nashra Sandhu, Sadia Iqbal, Saira Jabeen, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Tuba Hassan, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar.
Tasmia Rubab, Humna Bilal, Maham Anees and Sadaf Shamas have been named as reserves.

Changes for Asian Games Squad
Sadia Iqbal, Waheeda Akhtar and Najiha Alvi will not be part of Pakistan’s squad for the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, in September. Aliya Riaz, Tasmia Rubab and Humna Bilal will replace them in the Asian Games squad.
Veteran fast bowler Diana Baig has been left out of both squads. She has also not been included among the reserves for either tournament.
Pakistan Begin Camp in Lahore
Pakistan will hold a 10-day training camp at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The camp begins on Sunday and will run until August 25 as the players prepare for their upcoming assignments.
Pakistan will open their Asia Cup campaign against Thailand on September 1. The two teams will meet again in the quarterfinal of the Asian Games on September 17, four days after the Asia Cup final.

Pakistan will face Thailand twice across the two tournaments as they prepare for a packed schedule in the coming weeks.
