Susan Egan wants Tom Holland and Zendaya to star in ‘Hercules’ live action
Susan Egan recently opened up about the possibility of a live-action adaptation of her animated film, ‘Hercules.’ While talking about the project’s possibility, she revealed that she had already thought quite a lot about it and even had the perfect duo in mind. She named ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ star Tom Holland and Zendaya as the perfect couple to star in the film if it ever gets made.“I mean, I’ve been subtly saying Zendaya, but now I’m just going to say it. And probably, Tom and Zendaya, who I have never met, are filing for the restraining order right now. But honestly, I don’t even care. I feel like the world needs it,” she told Deadline. She further detailed why she thought the two could portray the characters properly.Egan shared, “Not even because they are the ‘it’ couple right now; it’s not even that. I have watched her beautiful career from when she was a teenager, and she’s just grounded. She is a strong woman, obviously, statuesque and amazing, with an incredible voice and a little edge, don’t you think?”
About ‘Hercules’
The animated film revolves around Hades’ plan to overthrow Zeus. He turns baby Hercules into a mortal; however, he still keeps his super-strength. Raised on Earth and away from the Gods’ realm, Hercules trains with Phil, falls for Meg, defeats Hades’ monsters, and sacrifices himself to save Meg. A possible live-action adaptation was earlier in the works in 2020, and Guy Ritchie was also attached to the project. However, little information was shared about the project at that time.
