Akanksha Chamola recently grabbed headlines with her stint in the reality show Lock Upp, where she revealed that she is separated from her husband, actor Gaurav Khanna. In the later episodes, Gaurav entered the show to meet her for a few minutes. Akanksha has now admitted that Gaurav’s entry left her ‘shattered’ because he passed on some information about her family that really made her rethink her game.
What Akanksha shared
Akanksha was speaking to the co-host of the show, Farah Khan, on her YouTube channel, about her journey in Lock Upp. The actor shared, “What had happened was there was some information which was passed on to me when he [Gaurav] entered. When I came to Lock Upp, I came with the mindset that okay everything is okay at home. Though they didn’t know about the secret that there will be something huge.”
‘What I got to know from Gaurav wasn’t right’
Akanksha went on to add, “So when the information was passed on to me that things are not right back home, that is what shattered me. My home. It wasn’t right, what I got to know. The way I am infront of the world is because I have that much confidence in my family. They know what I am doing and they have accepted that. So when that information came, for me I kept on thinking what happened, till the time one doesn’t know.”
Akanksha was eliminated in the semi-finale. Shreya Kalra emerged as the winner of the show.
Farah added that she had an intuition that things can gone south after Gaurav entered the show. She also told Akanksha that her secrets created a huge stir and she deserves all the love for coming out so openly on the show. For the unversed, Akanksha shared that she is bisexual and does not want to have kids. She had also opened up on why she was divorcing him. Akanksha then said she does not even want to adopt a baby as she wants to be child-free in her life while Gaurav wants kids.
Akanksha Chamola has featured in popular television shows such as Santoshi Maa, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Crime Patrol. She and Gaurav Khanna got married in 2016 after dating for some time, reportedly meeting and falling in love during an audition. Gaurav and Akanksha tied the knot on November 24, 2016, in a lavish three-day wedding celebration held in Gaurav’s hometown, Kanpur.
