Updated WTC 2025-27 points table after Pakistan lost two in two against EnglandEven Lord’s, a venue that has been rather kind to Pakistan historically among the other, less forgiving, England grounds, could not help the side get their winning juju. A 194-run defeat with scarce bright spots was all they could manage as they further cement their bottom place on the World Test Championship (WTC) points table. Pakistan finished the previous WTC cycle at the bottom of the table, and going by their current ways, this could end similarly as well.

Pakistan’s sorry state

Barring their win in Port of Spain, Pakistan have lost all of their away Test games since 2023. This cycle, too, they have only two wins to show for eight games.

England climb the table

England, meanwhile, have reaped plenty from two back-to-back massive wins. They have now jumped to the sixth position on the table, but this would not affect their chances of qualification for the final, which were nullified a long while ago thanks to both their defeats as well as penalty points.
