During his visit to the Daytona International Speedway event on Saturday, August 29, Cruise’s heartfelt gesture caught the eye of many NASCAR fans. Motorsport reported that the actor honoured racing champion Kyle Busch, who passed away in May.The actor sat right next to the empty chair labelled for Kyle Busch to honour his industry contributions. The outlet also shared photos of the actor, which showed him looking down and patting the chair that was designated for Busch as well. Kyle Busch passed away on May 21 this year after his pneumonia transitioned into sepsis and became life-threatening. He is survived by Samantha Busch, his wife, and their two children: son Brexton, 11, and daughter Lennix, 4.Cruise was attending the event as part of his preparation for his latest role, the upcoming sequel to his 1990s film, ‘Days of Thunder.’

They also confirmed that Cruise will be returning to the big screen alongside Anne Hathaway, who recently appeared in ‘The End of Oak Street.’ The sequel will be released on June 2, 2028, with filming to begin in the first half of 2027.
