On Friday, September 11, Pakistan Women will face Sri Lanka Women in Semi-final 2 of the Asia Cup. The winner will play India or Bangladesh in the final on Sunday, September 13.
Sri Lanka have won all three of their group matches against Bangladesh, Indonesia and UAE. Chamari Athapaththu has been their best player with the ball, taking 9 wickets in three innings. She is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. Athapaththu has also scored 58 runs in three innings. Sri Lanka have looked strong in all three games and will start as favourites.
The Pakistan team came in second place in the tournament, winning two out of three games. The Fatima Sana-captained team had an embarrassing loss against India, being all out for just 55 runs. They have to perform much better in batting against Sri Lanka to make it to the finals.
