Soori’s action drama ‘Mandaadi’ continued its theatrical run with a strong jump in earnings on its first Saturday. The film recorded an India net collection of Rs 9.25 cr on Day 3, according to Sacnilk. It registered a 38.1% increase compared with the Rs 6.70 cr earned on Day 2.The film’s latest collection came from 3,354 shows. Its India net total has now reached Rs 20.80 cr, while the India gross collection stands at Rs 24.43 cr. The film also added Rs 2.50 cr from overseas markets on Day 3. Its total overseas gross currently stands at Rs 5.00 cr. With the domestic and international earnings combined, ‘Mandaadi’ has reached a worldwide gross collection of Rs 29.43 cr.

‘Mandaadi’ records steady growth

‘Mandaadi’ opened on September 10 with an India net collection of Rs 4.85 cr. The first-day earnings came from 2,953 shows, with an overall occupancy of 32.7%. The film improved its business on Friday, collecting Rs 6.70 cr from 2,864 shows. Its occupancy also rose to 44.9%. On Saturday, the collection climbed further to Rs 9.25 cr from 3,354 shows, with overall occupancy reaching 53.8%.The Saturday performance represents a significant improvement over the film’s opening-day business.

Tamil version leads language-wise collections

The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to ‘Mandaadi’s’ India net earnings on Day 3. It collected Rs 7.55 cr from 2,548 shows and recorded an occupancy of 57.2%. The Telugu version added Rs 1.70 cr from 806 shows. Its overall occupancy stood at 43.0%. Together, the two versions have contributed to the film’s India net total of Rs 20.80 cr.The Tamil 2D version recorded an overall occupancy of 58.90% on Saturday. Morning shows registered 37.92%, while afternoon occupancy stood at 60.62%. Evening shows recorded 62.46%, and night occupancy climbed to 74.62%. The Telugu 2D version registered an overall occupancy of 42.50%. Morning shows recorded 33.27%, followed by 34.00% in the afternoon. Evening occupancy stood at 41.55%, while night shows recorded 53.91%.

State-wise collection of ‘Mandaadi’

Tamil Nadu remained the strongest contributor to the film’s state-wise gross collection on Day 3. The state generated Rs 7.25 cr on September 12. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed Rs 2.00 cr. Karnataka added Rs 1.15 cr, while Kerala contributed Rs 35 lakhs. The rest of India accounted for Rs 10 lakhs. The total state-wise gross collection for Day 3 stood at Rs 10.85 cr.

‘Sardar 2’ sees Saturday dip

Karthi’s ‘Sardar 2’ followed a different path on its first Saturday. The film collected Rs 2.20 cr in India net on Day 3, according to Sacnilk. This was 10.2% lower than its Rs 2.45 cr collection on Friday. The film earned the latest amount from 3,035 shows. Its India net total has reached Rs 9.15 cr, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 10.75 cr.The overseas market added Rs 1.00 cr on Day 3. This takes the film’s total overseas gross to Rs 3.50 cr. Its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 14.25 cr.‘Sardar 2’ opened on September 10 with Rs 4.50 cr from 3,950 shows. Its opening-day occupancy was 24.5%. On Day 2, it earned Rs 2.45 cr from 3,361 shows, with occupancy falling to 19.3%. Day 3 brought Rs 2.20 cr from 3,035 shows, while overall occupancy improved slightly to 21.0%.

‘Sardar 2’ language-wise performance

The Tamil version of ‘Sardar 2’ earned Rs 1.50 cr in India net on Day 3. It recorded 22.0% occupancy across 2,014 shows. The Telugu version contributed Rs 70 lakhs from 1,021 shows. Its occupancy stood at 19.0%.
