West Indies Announce T20I Squad for India Series, Kamil Pooran Gets First Call-Up- IPL

West Indies have announced their T20I squad for the five-match series against India. Kamil Pooran has earned his first international call-up after a strong debut season in the Caribbean Premier League for Saint Lucia Kings. He scored 273 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 159.34. Batter Quentin Sampson and all-rounder Keemo Paul have also been recalled.

Jason Holder has been rested for the series after playing an important role in the T20I team. Shimron Hetmyer has been given an extended recovery period after the CPL and will miss the ODIs from September 27 to October 3. He will join the T20I squad for the series, which starts on October 6.

Jewel Andrew has also been included in the T20I squad after being picked for the ODI series. The 19-year-old will get a chance to play for West Indies against India. The five-match T20I series will begin on October 6.
