Australia A Take 236-Run Lead Over India A on Day 2 of Second Unofficial Test- IPL

Australia A took a 236-run lead against India A on the second day of the second unofficial Test in Puducherry. Australia A scored 358 in the first innings after starting the day on 282. India A had beaten Australia A by 162 runs at the same venue in the first unofficial Test last week. India A struggled with the bat on the second day.

Sam Harper Scores 128

Sam Harper scored 128 for Australia A after coming in when Australia A were 104 for 5. Harper’s century helped Australia A recover on the opening day. Harper added more runs on the second morning before his dismissal. Australia A felt India A had called for a caught-behind review after the DRS timer had expired. Jhye Richardson scored 31 before Tanush Kotian dismissed him at 330. Corey Rocchiccioli added 16 runs before Anshul Kamboj dismissed Liam Hatcher.

India A Lose Early Wickets

India A lost Aayush Pandey in the first over from Jhye Richardson. Sai Sudharsan and Devdutt Padikkal then came together. Todd Murphy bowled with good drift, dip and turn against the two left-handers. Murphy dismissed Sai Sudharsan for 8 off 35 balls. Devdutt Padikkal scored 31 before Corey Rocchiccioli bowled him with a ball that stayed very low.

Tod Murphy dismissed Yash Rathod for his second wicket of the innings. Tod Murphy ended up with figures of 17-3-26-2 at the end of the day’s play. Liam Scott dismissed Kumar Kushagra, who made a hundred in the first unofficial Test match. India A still trailed by 236 runs at the end of the day against Australia A. Tod Murphy surrounded Shaik Rasheed with four slip fielders in the last over of the day as Australia A kept pressing India A.
