Sri Lanka Women’s ODI World Cup Record
Sri Lanka have not yet reached the semi-final or final of the Women’s ODI World Cup. Their best performance came in 2013, when they finished fifth. Sri Lanka have produced some memorable ODI performances despite not reaching the later stages regularly. One of their biggest wins came in 2024 when Chamari Athapaththu scored an unbeaten 195 against South Africa, Sri Lanka successfully chased 302, setting a women’s ODI record for the highest successful chase at the time.

Sri Lanka Women’s 2024 Asia Cup Triumph
The 2024 Women’s Asia Cup was a historic tournament for Sri Lanka. They defeated India in the final to win their first Asia Cup title. Athapaththu scored 61 in the final, while Harshitha Samarawickrama made an unbeaten 69. Athapaththu finished the tournament as Player of the Tournament after scoring 304 runs.
Chamari Athapaththu’s Records
Chamari Athapaththu is the biggest name in Sri Lankan women’s cricket. She has scored more than 3,000 ODI runs, nine ODI centuries and several T20I centuries.
Her unbeaten 195 against South Africa in 2024 remains one of the greatest innings in women’s ODI cricket. She also became the first Sri Lankan woman to score a T20 World Cup century when she made 106 not out against Ireland in 2026.

Sri Lanka Women Before Champions Trophy 2027
Sri Lanka have shown that they can challenge stronger teams, particularly in T20 cricket. Their 2024 Asia Cup triumph and improved 2026 T20 World Cup campaign are positive signs.
