Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster, a famed TV show host, model, and photographer, have been together for around 26 years now, and the couple is going stronger than ever. In a recent interview, the 55-year-old opened up about how life has been as a married woman and how she and rock legend Stewart have been together for more than 26 years.

The beloved couple has been married since 2007, though they have been together as a couple for much longer. While talking to Best Magazine, Lancaster opened up about her 18 year long marriage with Stewart and even joked about the companionship. “Yes, 26 years! I deserve a medal, don’t I? Only joking”, she quipped during the interview.She shared that one of the reasons as to why the two have lasted so long is because they are both intentional with one another. The photographer shared that they have their routines, and they often have dates together even after this long to keep things interesting. Adding more on the matter, she shared that “We don’t take each other for granted and make sure we have date nights together … dinner, the theatre or whatever, doing the school run together and having an ‘a deux’ coffee on the way home, long romantic walks together.” She also shared that flirting with one another and making each other laugh is also an important part of our relationship.

Another factor that has helped the couple stay together for this long is the fact that they both make sure to still celebrate each other’s achievements. The ‘Loose Women’ star added that they also celebrate and make a big deal out of their anniversaries no matter what.“For instance, for our last wedding anniversary, we took a very romantic train trip from Paris to Portofino because Rod proposed to me in Paris and we got married in Portofino. We love reminiscing about our life together and also making plans for the future — more romantic trips,” she shared.For the unversed, Lancaster and Stewart have been together since 1999. The two have been together since, and got married in 2007. They also have two children; Alastair Wallace and Aiden Patrick, while Lancaster has 6 other children as well from her previous marriages.
