The Mumbai Indians are looking forward to winning the Indian Premier League once again and recently, they celebrated an important milestone. The franchise’s top player, Rohit Sharma, became the member of MI for 15 years.
Sharma signed up for MI on April 10, 2011. Since that time, he has been one of the most prominent players at MI and has gained immense respect.

Present team captain Hardik Pandya congratulated Rohit on his achievement. He mentioned, “Congratulations on 15 years. Thank you for being our captain. I have made my debut under you, and many more like Jasprit Bumrah have done.”
He also highlighted that Rohit has become an inspiration for many players in the team and is a wonderful captain and individual. He began his IPL journey in 2008 with Deccan Chargers and signed up with MI in 2011 under Sachin Tendulkar’s leadership.
He has participated in 230 games for MI, scoring 5994 runs, including two hundreds. In his captaincy, he has brought five trophies for MI (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020). He has also contributed to bringing the Champions League trophy twice (in 2011 and 2013).
In IPL 2026, he has scored 118 runs in three games and is currently performing well. In case of MI’s victory in this season, Rohit can become the most successful player in IPL history.
