Vaibhav Suryavanshi Shines, Earns Praise from Virat Kohli as RR Stay Unbeaten
Talking about the Bihar-born youngster, the rising star picked by Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.1 crore in the Indian Premier League 2026 mega auction has already achieved many milestones early in his career. Known for his strokeplay and ability to take the best of the bowlers to cleaners, Suryavanshi has lived up to the hype.
In IPL 2025, he played 7 matches and scored 252 runs. But in the Indian Premier League 2026, he has already scored 200 runs in just 4 matches, with an average of 50 and a very high strike rate of 266.67. He scored his second fifty-plus score in the ongoing edition, that too reaching 50 off just 15 deliveries, a record he had already set earlier against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
With his 78-run knock, he went past his teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal to take the Orange Cap. Also, Rajasthan Royals are one of only two teams still unbeaten in the Indian Premier League 2026. Following their comprehensive win, the Riyan Parag-led side are sitting at the top of the points table with four wins and 8 points to their name. They will next take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on April 13.
