Suriya and Trisha Krishnan starrer ‘Karuppu’ has entered the final stage of its theatrical journey as the film begins streaming on OTT. After enjoying a successful run in cinemas for four weeks, the fantasy action drama is now witnessing its last few days on the big screen.According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 37 lakhs net in India on Day 28. This marks a 14 percent decline from the Rs 43 lakhs net earned on Day 27.
Worldwide gross reaches Rs 306.47 crore
‘Karuppu’s total India net collection has reached Rs 195.18 crore. The film’s India gross collection now stands at Rs 225.57 crore. ‘Karuppu’ has grossed Rs 80.90 crore internationally during its theatrical run. The film’s worldwide gross collection has now touched Rs 306.47 crore.‘Karuppu’ collected Rs 5.83 crore during its fourth week in theatres. The film had opened strongly with a Week 1 collection of Rs 113.85 crore. It followed that with Rs 54.30 crore in Week 2 and Rs 21.20 crore in Week 3. The overall India net collection currently stands at Rs 195.18 crore.‘Karuppu’ was screened across 877 shows on Day 28. The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 15.39 percent. Evening shows registered the highest attendance at 19.09 percent. Night shows followed with 16.09 percent occupancy.Tamil Nadu remained the biggest contributor to the film’s earnings on Day 28 with Rs 30 lakhs gross. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 10 lakhs. Karnataka and Kerala added Rs 1 lakh. The total gross collection for the day stood at Rs 42 lakhs.
