Changes to House of the Dragon Season 3 tapestry
Beyond the music, the opening credits sequence that depicts House Targaryen’s history through an animated tapestry, now concludes differently. Rather than ending with an image of the Iron Throne, the tapestry now ends with a Targaryen-style dragon sigil featuring a black dragon on a red background. The symbol does not represent the traditional Targaryen banner, which features a red dragon on a black field. Instead, the black dragon on red is associated with House Blackfyre, a cadet branch of House Targaryen that emerges decades after the events currently depicted in ‘House of the Dragon’.Viewers noted that the tapestry also appeared torn, representing the decline of House Targaryen, its dynasty and dragons.New episodes of ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 will air every Monday till its season finale on August 9.
