The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has given the green light to 10 new real estate projects spread across four districts, with a combined investment of Rs 1,278 crore, according to an official statement issued Thursday.The approvals came at a meeting chaired by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, and the projects are set to add around 4,498 residential and commercial units in Lucknow, Noida, Agra and Ghaziabad.District-wise breakdown
- Lucknow led both in project count and unit numbers, with six approved projects worth Rs 438.29 crore. These include five residential developments and one mixed-use project, together accounting for 2,284 units.
- Gautam Buddha Nagar topped the investment chart despite fewer projects, with two commercial developments worth Rs 496.27 crore cleared. These will add 981 commercial units, including retail shops and studio spaces.
- Agra saw one residential project approved, valued at Rs 223.04 crore, which will bring 761 housing units to the district.
- Ghaziabad received clearance for one commercial project worth Rs 120.88 crore, expected to yield 472 commercial units.
UP RERA noted that the approved projects span residential, commercial and mixed-use categories and are intended to support planned urban expansion while addressing growing demand for housing and modern commercial spaces in the state.The authority said it would keep a close watch on these projects to ensure adherence to the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act and completion within set deadlines.The statement added that the investments are likely to generate both direct and indirect employment during construction, while also boosting related sectors such as construction materials, engineering services, transport and logistics.Bhoosreddy said the authority remains focused on building a transparent and accountable regulatory system for real estate in the state.He noted that prompt project approvals combined with active monitoring are helping create a more dependable environment for both developers and homebuyers, and reaffirmed UP RERA’s commitment to strict enforcement of RERA provisions, consumer protection and balanced, sustainable growth of the sector.
