The early box office predictions suggest that the fourth instalment of the ‘Spider-Man’ franchise could deliver a historic opening weekend at the North American box office.

According to projections from Box Office Theory, the superhero film is currently tracking an estimated domestic collection of USD 228 million. If the reports turn out to be true, then the film could just scrore the biggest superhero opening since ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and rank among the highest opening weekends in box office history.

Meanwhile, Fandango reported that ‘Brand New Day’ has become its biggest first-day preseller of 2026. The film has officially overtaken Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic ‘The Odyssey’, which previously sold out tickets hours after going on sale. Interestingly, Holland also features in an important role in the historical epic.

As per the report, the film’s domestic advance bookings have already crossed USD 40 million, while Global Box Office projects the film could ultimately open north of USD 250 million in North America if current momentum continues.These projections are considered particularly impressive, keeping in mind that the film will not have access to IMAX screens during its opening weekend, owing to the three-week window allotted to Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’.Box Office Theory analyst Shawn Robbins noted, “The Spider-Man brand remains among the sturdiest of big-screen franchises,” citing the success of the character’s eight live-action films.

According to Deadline, ‘Brand New Day’ recorded the strongest first-day advance ticket sales in the United States for any film in the past five years. The previous record-holder was ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, which went on to earn USD 260.1 million, placing it second to the biggest debut of all time recorded by ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ marks Tom Holland’s return as Peter Parker following the events of ‘No Way Home’. The film also marks the return of Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, along with Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo reprising their roles as The Punisher and The Hulk, respectively. Sadie Sink also joins the cast in an undisclosed role.
