An additional 150 minutes have been allocated on the scheduled match day to maximize the chances of completing the game. If a result is still not possible on Sunday, the final will move to the reserve day on Monday, July 6.
If rain prevents play on both the scheduled day and the reserve day, Australia and England will be declared joint winners of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. As per the playing conditions, each team must bat for at least 10 overs for the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method to determine a result. This is an increase from the five-over minimum that applied during the group stage.
The weather forecast for the final appears encouraging. According to AccuWeather, there is only a 2% chance of precipitation during the match, although some cloud cover is expected over Lord’s. Temperatures are forecast to reach around 28°C, with west-northwesterly winds blowing at approximately 13 km/h, making for a warm day and favorable conditions for cricket.
