Pakistan have excluded mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed from both West Indies and England Test tours. Abrar, who was bought by the Hundred franchise, Sunrisers Leeds, is understood to have been left out for his Hundred commitment.
Abrar to be fully available
Signed for £190,000 after Sunrisers, sharing ownership with the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Sunrisers Hyderabad, outbid Trent Rockets, Abrar became the only centrally-contracted Pakistan player to be part of an Indian-owned team in any league across the world. With the Hundred overlapping with Pakistan’s red-ball tours of West Indies and England, Abrar’s inclusion was somewhat uncertain.
The PCB, however, granted him the NOC to play the league in its entirety even before the squads were announced. With his exclusion confirmed now, Abrar can be expected to play all of Sunrisers’ games in the upcoming edition, set to begin July 21.
