Pakistan’s Fatima Sana makes it into the Women’s T20 World Cup Team of the Tournament- IPL

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana has been named in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Team of the Tournament. Fatima is the only Pakistani player named in the team, which is captained by Australia’s Sophie Molineux, the winning captain.

Fatima among the chart leaders

Despite her team’s below-par performance in the tournament, where they only managed one win in six games and crashed out with two group-stage games to spare, Fatima remained a sight to behold.

She finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament, grabbing 11 scalps in just five innings. With the bat, she chipped in with 85 crucial runs, at times batting to help her side recover from a batting collapse.

Her best performance came against South Africa, where her all-round brilliance was on full display. She scored an unbeaten 55 off 38 balls after coming into bat with her side reeling at 36/6 in the eighth over.

As if this wasn’t enough, the Pakistan captain then followed it up with a three-wicket haul to give her side a fighting chance in a low-scoring game. But that was nowhere near enough, with Pakistan losing the game by two wickets.
