Rauf, Pretorius star as Unicorns top the table in MLC 2026- IPL

Rauf, Pretorius star as Unicorns top the table in MLC 2026San Francisco Unicorns (SF) are at the top of the table in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) edition following a thumping win over MI New York. This was their fifth win in eight games and second against New York on the bounce.

Haris delivers in death overs

Choosing to field first, Unicorns’ bowlers gave early trouble to New York, with two wickets within the powerplay, thanks to Matthew Short’s brilliant spell with the new ball. The run rate still seemed decent enough, but the regular fall of wickets worsened it by the time the death overs began.

To make matters more miserable for MI New York, Haris Rauf and Aaron Hardie paired up to bring out their best in the death overs. The pair grabbed four wickets in the 18th and 19th overs, conceding just nine runs. New York could only get to 144.

Pretorius registers maiden hundred

Scoring centuries in T20s is hard on its own, more so when the target hardly allows one player to take it all home. Lhuan de Pretorius, however, safely did that despite the modest target. He left almost nothing for the remaining two batters who got to bat as he scored an unbeaten 102 off just 52 balls. This helped Unicorns wrap the game up with four overs and two balls to spare.
