Megan, a 37-year-old mom of two from Davenport, Iowa has gone viral for making driveway artwork using nothing more than a garden hose and other items she has in her garage. During the summer months, she and her two sons, 10-year-old Carter and 6-year-old Parker spend their time outside getting creative with these driveway water outlines, making everything from animals to recognisable characters and even iconic logos.“We go outside with a genre and a list of possible shapes to make and then just go for it, using whatever items we can find lying around the garage,” she said to PEOPLE. “My [personal] favorite was creating a T. rex from Jurassic Park. None of us thought it would turn out, and when the boys got [off] the driveway, and there was a clear dinosaur, we couldn’t stop laughing.”The videos have garnered significant traction online. One of her videos, in which the kids are recreating various sports logos, from the MLB to Air Jordan, has crossed more than 28 million views. “I never imagined that the silly summer activities we love, like lying on the driveway and spraying each other with the garden hose, would have reached millions of people across the world!” Megan said. “I am completely blown away by the positive reaction and encouragement. She added that her only goal with content creation was to make families feel connected and spread some positivity. “Hearing that we were able to make someone smile or bring happiness to their day is all I could ever ask for!” she continued.

Megan wants to continue sharing her unique and crafty games with her kids to be able to inspire others to do the same with their children.

While she has been making content for more than four years, Megan said she’s finding it more fulfilling in recent years as her kids get older and she’s able to spend more time with them at home. Currently, she works as a part-time pharmacist, a decision she made last summer to go part-time to give herself more time at home with her kids.“We often make chalk outlines of each other on the driveway, but in the hot summer months, I thought it would be fun to try with water. When we saw how cool the silhouettes turned out, we tried making different shapes and the game definitely spiralled from there!” she added. With the brutal Iowa winter coming in, Megan said she’s had to get creative indoors. “In Iowa, we get stuck inside with the cold and snow and tend to get a little stir crazy. I love making DIY Halloween costumes and pushing the limit of what we can make,” she shares. “Homemade ranch dressing and mac and cheese costumes have made appearances in recent years.”Overall, Megan wants to continue sharing her unique and crafty games with her kids to be able to inspire others to do the same with their children. “Making memories doesn’t require expensive activities; there is so much you can do at home with things you already have,” she insists. “The important part is being together, and a little creativity can go a long way.”
