Haris Rauf ends MLC stint on a sour note as Unicorns bow out- IPL

Haris Rauf ends MLC stint on a sour note as Unicorns bow outHaris Rauf had an abysmal end to his Major League Cricket stint with the San Francisco Unicorns, who lost Eliminator 2 and, with that, ended their campaign. The Pakistan pacer went for 52 runs in four wicketless overs.

Rauf concedes 50+ for second consecutive time

The boundaries started coming early for Rauf, unlike the previous game, where the final two overs ruined his figures. He was thrashed for 16 runs in his first over, 14 of which came off two fours and a six.

He tried to get a grip on things by bowling somewhat economically in the next two overs, giving 19 runs off 12 balls. But the 20-run final over made sure he did not end with a respectable figure next to his name.

In total, Rauf has conceded 319 runs this season at an economy rate of 8.62. In three games he went for more than 40 runs, while he grabbed no wickets in four out of ten games.

Haris excluded from Unicorns’ GSL squad

Washington eventually won the game by seven runs as they booked a place in the final for themselves, third time on the bounce, against Los Angeles Knight Riders. Despite their elimination from the tournament, Unicorns have another competition to take part in, the Global Super League, set to begin on July 23.

Haris has not been retained in Unicorns’ GSL squad, which includes as many as nine players from their MLC unit.
