In his Instagram Story, Yuvraj wrote, “To every child, student, woman and man: you deserve the opportunity to learn in peace, grow with safety, and chase your dreams.” He also added, “Let’s come together to build communities of care, opportunity and hope. Through dialogue, we can find an amicable solution for the sake of India’s future.”
Although Yuvraj has often spoken about social causes, he has stayed away from active politics. In the past, there were reports linking him with a possible entry into politics through the BJP, but he dismissed those rumours. He has repeatedly said that his main focus is serving people through social work rather than joining any political party.
Police Action Escalates Tensions in Delhi
According to the report, the protests became more tense after police action in central Delhi. It claims that clashes broke out after demonstrations linked to activist Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike, with several people reportedly injured. The report also says that security around Jantar Mantar was increased and barricades were put in place as the situation escalated.
The report further states that several opposition leaders visited the protest site to express support for the demonstrators. At the same time, it notes that other prominent Indian cricketers, including Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, have not publicly commented on the issue so far.
