PUNE: As many as eight students from Pune drowned at Diveagar beach in Maharashtra’s Raigad district while on a school picnic, police said.All eight bodies have been recovered, news agency PTI reported.The students were part of a group of 42 from a private coaching class in Alandi, Pune district.Some of the students were from Class 11, while others were from Class 12.Some members of the group went swimming at the beach, , around 170km from Mumbai. But eight of them failed to return to the shore.Further details, including the identities of the deceased, are awaited.This is a developing story.
