Tyler Duckworth, a six-time participant on reality series The Challenge and a former cast member of MTV’s The Real World: Key West, has died at 44.

A report from U.S. Sun said Duckworth was found unresponsive inside a bathroom. North Dakota authorities confirmed that the television personality died on Tuesday, August 11.

The news was later made public by his mother, Joni, who addressed his death in a Facebook post on Thursday, August 13.

“My son, Tyler, passed away earlier this week,” she wrote.

No official cause of death has been established so far. Joni indicated that the family is still waiting for more information before making arrangements for his services.

“Cause of death has yet to be determined. I will post on Facebook about services as soon as his dad and I figure it out,” she wrote.

Authorities have reportedly categorized the case as an unattended death, meaning Duckworth was not found by someone who had witnessed the incident.
