Harmanpreet Kaur has established herself as one of the most influential players in the history of Indian women’s cricket. Since making her international debut in 2009, the right-handed batter and off-spinner has represented India across Tests, ODIs and T20Is, producing important performances in World Cups and major international tournaments. Her career has included more than 9,000 international runs and 75 wickets across the three formats, while her longevity has made her one of the most experienced players in women’s international cricket.

Kaur’s list of achievements goes well beyond her batting numbers. She became the first Indian woman to score a T20I century, crossed 3,000 T20I runs, became the first Indian cricketer to reach 100 T20I appearances and later became the most-capped player in women’s international cricket. Harmanpreet Kaur ODI Records

Harmanpreet Kaur’s ODI career is highlighted by her extraordinary 171 not out against Australia in the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup semi-final. She smashed 171* from just 115 deliveries, including 20 fours and seven sixes, helping India defeat Australia by 36 runs and reach the final.

Her current ODI record includes 4,541 runs in 164 matches, with seven centuries and 24 fifties. Her 171* remains her highest ODI score and one of the most memorable innings in Women’s Cricket World Cup history.

Harmanpreet Kaur T20I Records

Kaur has also been one of India’s most important T20I players. She became the first Indian woman to score a century in Women’s T20I cricket, making 103 against New Zealand in 2018. She was also the first Indian cricketer to reach 100 T20I appearances, a milestone she achieved in 2019.

Her latest career figures show 210 T20I appearances, 4,346 runs, one century, 18 fifties and 32 wickets. Her best T20I bowling figures are 4/23 against the West Indies. In June 2026, Kaur reached another historic milestone by becoming the first player in men’s or women’s international cricket to play 200 T20Is. She achieved the landmark against South Africa at the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup.

2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup

The 2017 World Cup produced the defining innings of Kaur’s ODI career. In the semi-final against Australia, she scored an unbeaten 171 from 115 balls. The innings helped India post 281/4 in 42 overs and win by 36 runs.

Her 171* remains the fourth-highest individual score in Women’s ODI World Cup history according to ICC’s record list, behind Belinda Clark’s 229*, Chamari Athapaththu’s 178* and Charlotte Edwards’ 173.

2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup

The 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup became the biggest achievement of Kaur’s international career. As captain, she led India to their first-ever Women’s Cricket World Cup title. India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the final in Navi Mumbai, with Kaur completing the catch that ended the match.

Kaur finished the 2025 tournament with 260 runs in nine matches and eight innings, averaging 32.50 with a strike rate of 89.04. Her highest score was 89, which came during India’s record chase against Australia in the semi-final.

Her 89 against Australia came in one of India’s most memorable World Cup matches. India successfully chased 339, with Jemimah Rodrigues scoring an unbeaten 127 and Kaur making 89. The pair shared a crucial 167-run partnership as India reached the final.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s World Cup Knockout Record

One of Kaur’s most notable records came during the 2025 World Cup. Her 20 runs in the final took her total to 331 runs in Women’s ODI World Cup knockout matches, surpassing Australia’s Belinda Clark’s previous mark of 330. She therefore holds the record for the most runs in the knockout stages of the Women’s ODI World Cup.

This record is particularly significant because Kaur has repeatedly delivered in high-pressure World Cup matches. Her 171* in the 2017 semi-final and 89 in the 2025 semi-final are two of the standout performances of her World Cup career.

First Indian Woman to Score a T20I Century

Kaur created history in November 2018 when she became the first Indian woman to score a century in T20I cricket. Her 103 against New Zealand remains one of the defining innings of her T20I career.
