Khushbu Sundar voices anger over child abuse
Khushbu Sundar shared her views on Instagram on Wednesday, expressing strong concern over the case. She said, “A child’s pain cannot be bought. Her voice cannot be silenced. Justice cannot be negotiated. And the powerful must never be allowed to believe they are untouchable.”The actress also spoke about the seriousness of crimes involving children. She said society has a responsibility to protect children from abuse and ensure that victims are not forced to live with the consequences of another person’s actions.“There is nothing more monstrous, more cowardly or more unforgivable than the sexual abuse of a child. A child is meant to be protected, not violated, silenced or made to carry the scars of someone else’s depravity.”
Khushbu Sundar questions influence and money
In her social media post, Khushbu Sundar also questioned whether wealth, influence or personal connections could have played a role in preventing the truth from emerging. Referring to the alleged amount of Rs 70 crore, she said any attempt to suppress information or interfere with the investigation must be examined.“My anger is absolute, unequivocal and uncompromising. If wealth, 70 crores in this case, influence or political and personal connections are used to bury the truth to silence a victim or obstruct justice, it angers me more and that is equally unacceptable. What a shame.”The actress further called for accountability if the allegations are established through the legal process. She said, “If guilt is established, there must be no escape. The law must come down with its full force and punish the perpetrator and those involved in the crime, without delay. #justiceforchildren #fightagainstsexualabuse.”Three more people arrested in caseMeanwhile, according to IANS reports, the Greater Chennai Police’s Central Crime Branch has expanded its investigation into the POCSO case involving R. Veeramani. The police arrested Ganesan, who had previously worked with Gem Granites, as part of the investigation.According to the police, an objectionable video allegedly involving R. Veeramani and a minor girl was found on Ganesan’s mobile phone. The investigation subsequently led to the arrest of Shanthi and Mahendra Simhan, who were allegedly connected with Veeramani.Ganesan, Shanthi and Mahendra Simhan were taken before a court after the completion of preliminary procedures.
