Nani’s upcoming film, ‘The Paradise’ has received ‘A’ certificate from CBFC as the Srikanth Odela directorial is set to feature several high-intensity action and violence sequences. Ahead of its theatrical release on September 24, the actor explained that the movie has it all including “drama, emotion, and love” with a higher touch violence.
Nani on ‘The Paradise’ getting an ‘A’ certificate
Speaking at a press conference in Mumbai, Nani explained that the violence in ‘The Paradise’ is not included just for the sake of violence. He said the film is mainly a drama filled with emotions, love and strong characters.“I understand where it is coming from; there’s a lot of violence. For example, there are films which are solely focused on violence, like violence for the sake of violence. But ‘The Paradise’ is not like that,” Nani said.Nani also accepted that the violence in the film is high, which is why the team expected an ‘A’ certificate while making the film. The actor also added that the makers understand that an adult related film could prevent younger audiences from watching the film. However, he believes the story has much more to offer beyond its violent sequences.
Nani believes ‘The Paradise’ is much more than violence
“Everybody will relate to it, whatever the age group, but children can’t watch it because there’s violence. However, everything that happens in the film, is what we see and relate, there’s drama, emotion, and love, but the violence portion is little higher. So, we were prepared for it while shooting,” he said.
About ‘The Paradise’
Directed by Srikanth Odela, ‘The Paradise’ is set in the slums of 1980s Secunderabad. The period action drama follows a marginalised community facing social discrimination and being denied basic rights.The movie includes Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal, Mohan Babu, Sonali Kulkarni and Sampoornesh Babu in important roles. Keerthy Suresh is set to make a special appearance.The film will be released in multiple languages including English, Bengali and Spanish.
