India fast bowler Prasidh Krishna will not play in the third and final ODI against West Indies on October 3 in Mullanpur. He suffered a left hamstring injury during the second ODI in Guwahati. Krishna bowled five overs in the match and conceded 45 runs. He also dismissed Keacy Carty before leaving the field in the 31st over after picking up the injury.
The Karnataka pacer has now returned to Bengaluru. He could miss the first round of the Ranji Trophy as well. Krishna is expected to report to the BCCI Centre of Excellence for further treatment and recovery. Anshul Kamboj has been added to India’s squad as his replacement for the final ODI. Kamboj, on the other hand, has been withdrawn from the India A side currently playing Australia A in Puducherry.
