ETimes review of the film

ETimes had a mixed response to the sequel, appreciating the efforts of the cast while pointing out shortcomings in the screenplay and execution. The ETimes review reads, “While the premise does have potential, the film that we get rarely lives up to it. A ‘This should be enough’ attitude seems to permeate across the various aspects, right from the writing (convenient and predictable) to the staging (mega serial-like), acting (broad strokes), and music (generic, barring one hummable number). The cast, filled with actors who have entertained us in the past, manages to sell it, though Aishwarya Lekshmi, who was the previous film’s attraction, feels off here, perhaps due to the dubbing. Even a couple of cameos towards the end hardly leave an impact given the names involved.”DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
