An old clip of Salman Khan admitting that he once received leaked exam papers, has resurfaced on social media after the actor voiced his support for students protesting against the alleged NEET paper leak and the recent crackdown on protests across the country.The video, originally from an episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, was posted in the comments of Salman’s tweet on Wednesday night, coming out in full support of the students’ movement.
Salman Khan backs students’ protest
In his message, shared acorss his social media platforms, the actor wrote, “It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them.”He went on to add, “I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud.”Pleading with political parties not to ‘hijack’ the protest, he further shared, “This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It’s a win-win situation. Hoping n praying for a positive decision. Salim Khan recalls man getting leaked papers home
Just hours after the actor made the post, a netizen responded by fishing out the old video that featured Salman with his legendary screenwriter father Salim Khan, and brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan as they shared a candid chat on the comedy show.During the conversation, Salim narrated a humorous incident, recalling how his son was beyond hospitable with a man named Ganesh when he visited their home. In the clip he says, “‘Ganesh aaya hai’, ‘Ganesh ko chai pilao’, ‘Arre, Ganesh ke liye kursi le aao baithne ke liye’… Maine kaha yeh Ganesh kaun hai? Mere se zyada izzat milti hai isko iss ghar mein.”He then revealed the reason behind Ganesh’s popularity in the household, joking, “Pata laga jab exam ka paper leak hota tha, woh inko laake deta tha.”

Reacting to the clip, fans took to the comments to defend the superstar, saying that they were talking about their school days and not a national-level exam. “Salman was talking about school days,” a fan commented.Another said, “School exam paper leak and the current incident aren’t same.” Still another said, “That is local school and this is neet.”“It was not competitive exam. Kisi ka future, hardwork barbad nahi kar raha tha,” said another.
About the students’ protests
The student protests over the alleged NEET paper leak have found support from many in the film industry, including Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Shabana Azmi, Prakash Raj, Rajkummar Rao, Revathy, Tovino Thomas and Anurag Kashyap. The ‘Sultan’ star, is the first of Bollywood’s Khans to speak on the issue.His post came two days after the police crackdown on protestors in the capital during the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march called by the Cockroach Janta Party, to push for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in various examinations.
