ICC T20I Rankings: Abhishek Sharma Rises to No. 2, Bumrah and Arshdeep Also ClimbIndia have made a strong start to their T20I series against Afghanistan and several players have moved up in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings. India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series in Delhi.

Abhishek Sharma moved up one place to second in the T20I batting rankings after scoring 82 in the series opener. He moved ahead of Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan. Only Ishan Kishan is above him, with a gap of 51 rating points. Sanju Samson also climbed four places to 30th after his half-century in the second match.

India also made several gains in the T20I bowling rankings. Varun Chakaravarthy moved two places to fifth, while Jasprit Bumrah climbed seven spots to 10th. Arshdeep Singh jumped 11 places to 14th, and Axar Patel moved six places to 27th. Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai also made progress among T20I all-rounders after scoring an unbeaten half-century in the first match.

Australia’s players also moved up after their 59-run win over Zimbabwe in the first ODI in Harare. Nathan Ellis climbed 20 places to 20th among ODI bowlers after taking five wickets. Matthew Renshaw moved from outside the top 100 to 68th among ODI batters after scoring 109. Cooper Connolly also rose nine places to 77th after making 51 at No. 3.

England pacer Ollie Robinson reached a career-high third place in the Test bowling rankings after taking 21 wickets in the three-Test series against Pakistan. Josh Tongue moved up two places to 11th after claiming 19 wickets. Robinson also climbed seven places to 13th among Test all-rounders after scoring a half-century in the third Test in Birmingham. Pakistan’s Babar Azam moved to 13th, Shan Masood to 37th, while England wicketkeeper Jamie Smith climbed to 20th among Test batters.
