The couple separated in 2005. Pitt later married Angelina Jolie at a French winery in 2014 in a smaller, deeply personal ceremony where their six children each played a role, with Maddox and Pax walking Jolie down the aisle, Zahara and Vivienne throwing flowers, and Shiloh and Knox serving as ring bearers, as the Associated Press reported at the time. That marriage ended in 2016 with a divorce finalised in 2024.
