Awarapan 2 box office collection day 10: Awarapan 2 is holding strong at the box office even after completing ten days in theatres. Emraan Hashmi’s sequel, which released on August 14 alongside Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947, has managed to stay ahead of its competition and is continuing to draw audiences in its second week. With steady footfalls and strong word-of-mouth working in its favour, Awarapan 2 has turned out to be one of the year’s notable theatrical performers so far.
Awarapan 2 box office collection
According to trade trade tracker Sacnilk, Awarapan 2 continued its strong run on the second Sunday, collecting ₹8.75 crore net in India on Day 10. The film recorded around 21% occupancy across 13,632 shows, taking its total India net collection to ₹136.25 crore. Its India gross now stands at ₹162.50 crore.
The film also earned ₹1.50 crore from overseas markets on Day 10, pushing its overseas gross to ₹30.30 crore. With this, Awarapan 2 has reached ₹192.80 crore worldwide and is now less than ₹8 crore away from the ₹200 crore milestone.
A strong second weekend keeps the film going
The second weekend brought another boost for Awarapan 2 after a slightly slower Friday. The film, which had ended its first week at ₹113.50 crore net, added ₹5.75 crore on its second Friday from 9,858 shows. Saturday saw a clear jump as the film collected ₹8.25 crore net, up 43.5% from Friday, across 10,008 shows. Overall occupancy stood at 18%, while evening and night shows recorded much stronger footfalls, with occupancy going up to 33.85%.
A blockbuster opening set the momentum
Awarapan 2 got off to a strong start, earning ₹22 crore net on its opening day. The film picked up pace on Independence Day, with collections jumping 53.4% to ₹33.75 crore net on Day 2, which remains its highest single-day collection so far.
The film continued its strong run on Day 3, adding another ₹26 crore net. This took its opening weekend total to ₹81.75 crore. Awarapan 2 maintained its momentum through the week and ended its first seven days with ₹113.50 crore net in India, comfortably crossing the ₹100 crore mark in its opening week.
