Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been added to India’s squad for the fifth T20I against West Indies. The move comes after Arshdeep Singh injured his left shoulder while batting in the fourth match in Hyderabad. Arshdeep retired hurt after facing another delivery as West Indies won the match to level the series 2-2. The BCCI said his availability for the final T20I would depend on his recovery.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar Returns to India’s Squad
Bhuvneshwar has been out of India’s plans for four years. He has returned to the squad after two successful IPL seasons with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The 36-year-old has also been selected for India’s upcoming T20I series against New Zealand, starting October 22. His last international appearance came against New Zealand in Napier in November 2022. Bhuvneshwar may be part of the fifth T20I match that is slated to be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on October 17, depending on how fit Arshdeep is.
