Colman Domingo calls out Elon Musk over ‘The Odyssey’ AI version: Says ‘Elon and his Musketeers are upset over the diversity casting’

Elon Musk has been quite vocal about his issues with ‘The Odyssey’. From the casting to Christopher Nolan’s “integrity”, he has commented on quite a lot of things in the past couple of months. Now, the businessman is making headlines for claiming that his social media platform’s AI system will be able to make an AI movie version of Homer’s classic by next year. Along with facing backlash from netizens, actor Colman Domingo also called Musk out for his actions and even joked about the situation.

Colman Domingo slams Elon Musk over AI ‘Odyssey’ remake claims

While featuring on the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ as a guest host, Domingo did not miss out on the chance of calling out Elon Musk’s post about Grok being able to make an AI movie by next year. During one of his stints on the reality TV talk show, he mocked the billionaire’s decision to remake ‘The Odyssey’ through AI.He commented, “Now Elon Musk is planning to create what he calls a ‘historically accurate’ version of The Odyssey, using his Grok AI, and by ‘historically accurate’, he means whiter than Christmas at Cracker Barrel.”Domingo continued, and specifically addressed the billionaire’s continuous issue with Nolan’s film and how he and his ‘minions’ have been running a campaign of hate against the director. He further added, “Of course this is all because Elon and his Musketeers are upset over the diversity casting of The Odyssey. And I don’t wanna get technical here, but you can’t make a historically accurate version of something that is totally made the f*****.” He also mentioned, “The Odyssey is fiction. You know, like The Hunger Games, or the president’s cognitive exams.”Concluding his remarks on the matter, Domingo then joked about Musk’s promise to get mankind on Mars. He commented, “Doesn’t Elon Musk have better things to do? Wasn’t this b—- supposed to be on Mars by now?”, further on making everyone in the audience laugh. Elon has also expressed disdain over Helen of Troy being played by Lupita Nyong’o, agreeing with social media comments that stated that the most beautiful woman in Greek mythology was described as ‘fair skinned.He commented on this as well and said, “But maybe we should show a little compassion for Elon. This is a tough time for him. Helen of Troy is a beautiful black woman. And this week, Jimmy Kimmel is a beautiful black man”, making the audience break out in laughter and applause.
