England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have sent a delegation to Lahore ahead of their ODI tri-series involving Pakistan and Sri Lanka to review arrangements for the series. The delegation will inspect the venues and hold meetings with security officials and local administration.
Delegation to inspect venues for tri-series
The series will be played across two venues: Lahore and Rawalpindi, and the delegation is reportedly set to review the arrangements at the two venues.
The triangular series will begin a few days after the final T20I against Sri Lanka, on October 18. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play the opening game at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the same venue as their T20I leg of the tour. Both teams will proceed to play England at Rawalpindi as well in the following two games, before the series shifts to Lahore for the final four matches, including the final on October 31.
The tri-series will be the fourth involving Pakistan since the start of 2025, the most by any full-member nation. Last year, Pakistan also hosted New Zealand and South Africa in an ODI tri-series in the build-up to the Champions Trophy. Besides that, the team also played two T20I tri-series, involving Afghanistan and UAE in August, followed by Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in November last year.
