NEW DELHI: A video showing Kalyan Bainsla, the car driver accused of hitting a woman biker, kneeling before his vehicle with a bandage on his hand surfaced on Tuesday.This comes as police arrested Bainsla from Rajgarh in Rajasthan, two days after his speeding Ciaz allegedly rammed into the woman’s Aprilia RS 457, causing her to skid across the road, police said.Gurgaon DCP Sandeep Kumar said on Tuesday that the accused car driver allegedly intended to kill the woman biker he rammed into on Golf Course Road. Police arrested the driver and his cousin in connection with the case.Police arrested Bainsla and his cousin, Lavish, after tracing them to Rajasthan.The DCP said attempt-to-murder charges were added based on the victim’s statement and CCTV footage, which allegedly showed Bainsla deliberately ramming his car into the woman’s bike, indicating an alleged attempt to kill her.Police also invoked Sections 78 and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), he said. According to the DCP, Bainsla had borrowed the car from a friend and allegedly used it in the incident. Police said he runs gyms in Palwal.After giving a statement to the media, Bainsla fled to Rajasthan, where he and his cousin, Lavish, were later arrested, police said.

Bainsla has denied deliberately hitting Sia, claiming that 22-23 bikers were riding aggressively, repeatedly overtaking his car and slowing down in front of it.Bainsla said Sia suddenly turned while he was taking a U-turn, leaving him little time to react, and claimed he had tried to avoid the collision.He also denied fleeing the scene after the crash, saying the videos circulating on social media had been edited by stitching together separate clips.
