Here’s a closer look at Jamie Campbell Bower’s suggestion to change the appearance of Vecna in ‘Stranger Things.’ Jamie Campbell Bower recalled his thoughts at the Brave Warriors panel of San Diego Comic-Con 2026, which included ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ star Benjamin Walker, ‘Drifter’ star Sung Kang, and ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ star Raúl Castillo. “Shoes are a big thing because they do affect the way that you walk,” he said, per Entertainment Weekly. “It’s something I’m always focused on. I remember after doing season 4 of Stranger Things, [prosthetics designer] Barrie [Gower] was like, ‘If there’s one thing you can change, what would it be?’ And I’d be like, ‘The feet. I’d make them more tactile,’” the actor said, remembering the conversation. By the time Jamie Campbell Bower shot Season 5, the makers acknowledged his suggestions and changed the ideation for the last season’s Vecna. “Of course, we get to season 5, and even my toes are CG, so there’s no reason to worry about that,” the actor said, and continued, “[But] that was what I wanted.”
