Imran Khan dismissed rumours of starring as BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover in a biopic with Aamir Khan and Shraddha Kapoor, telling Hindustan Times he hasn’t heard of it. Ashneer rose to fame on Shark Tank India with his viral ‘doglapan’ line. Imran’s comeback is Netflix’s Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum with Bhumi Pednekar, delayed to mid-2026.

Speculation about a biopic on businessman Ashneer Grover has been circulating online. What caught attention was the reported casting of Aamir Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Imran Khan. However, these claims appear to have little truth. Earlier buzz suggested that Imran would take on Ashneer’s role, while Shraddha would play his wife.

Imran Khan denied rumours

Now, speaking to Hindustan Times, Imran dismissed the rumours, saying, “I have not even heard of this project. This is not true.”

About Ashneer Grover

Ashneer Grover, the co-founder of BharatPe, became a household name after appearing as an investor on Shark Tank India. One of his dialogues from the show, featuring the word ‘doglapan’, went viral and later inspired the title of his book, Doglapan: The Hard Truth about Life and Start-Ups.

Imran Khan’s comeback from ‘Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum

Meanwhile, Imran is gearing up for his full-fledged return to acting with ‘Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum’. The project, which marks his comeback, is set to release as a Netflix original film. Directed by Danish Aslam, it also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada in lead roles. Shot in Mumbai through 2025, it was originally slated for an early 2026 streaming premiere. It was delayed due to changes in the production schedule and is now likely to land in mid-2026 or later.

Aamir Khan last project

On the other hand, Aamir Khan was last seen in ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, a thematic sequel to his 2007 blockbuster, ‘Taare Zameen Par’.
