The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, according to county records, reportedly purchased the property for approximately USD 5.35 million, considerably less than its USD 5.99 million asking price.As per Cleveland.com, the historic property spans more than 21,000 square feet. The mansion reportedly boasts of eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms. Known as a Gilded Age mansion, the property has undergone an extensive renovation since being featured in 2023. Despite its modern upgrades, the report states that the original architectural details have been preserved, including wood-panelled walls, elaborate plaster ceilings, hand-carved mouldings, ornate fireplaces and leaded-glass windows.According to the property listing, the renovation was designed to preserve the mansion’s historic character while incorporating contemporary amenities, including a smart-home system.The home also featured a ballroom that was later transformed into a game room and home theatre. Meanwhile, the lower level has been redesigned with entertainment features like a billiards room, poker area, bar, temperature-controlled wine cellar and tasting room.The property has an expansive 3.5-acre estate and also includes a new in-ground swimming pool, a fitness centre, sauna and a restored gatehouse containing two bedrooms.Kelce’s reported purchase has turned the spotlight onto the once low-key Bratenahl community, turning the lake-side town into one of the world’s most high-profile neighbourhoods, with one of the world’s most-watched celebrity couples getting ready to move in. .
