Jacob Elordi recounted the extreme measures taken to film his character’s demise in ‘Euphoria’s’ final season, detailing an unexpectedly surreal experience involving confinement in a coffin with a live reptile for an extended period. The 29-year-old actor discussed his return to the series and the various challenging scenes creator Sam Levinson orchestrated for his character Nate’s exit.During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Elordi joked about the demanding nature of his final episodes. “I think Sam brought me back to torture me,” he said to costar Colman Domingo, who was hosting duties for the evening. The actor described the entire experience as gruelling, recalling weeks of physical punishment. “It was like, six weeks of me just getting beat by a seven-foot guy,” he explained.

“I got locked in a coffin for two days straight with prosthetics and a fake tongue, and I couldn’t see out of my eyes. And then Sam put snakes into the coffin,” Elordi shared, describing the sensory deprivation and claustrophobia of the experience. Despite the seemingly nightmarish scenario, the actor revealed an unexpected attitude toward the ordeal.

Rather than being threatened by the reptile, the actor found the experience oddly companionable.“He had a very nice personality. He was very docile and very sleepy. I don’t think he’d had a lot of sun,” Elordi recalled of the snake’s demeanour. “I was kind of nudging him, trying to get him to get active and do the scene, ’cause he was meant to be threatening. But he was like a little dog. He just kept curling up at my feet,” he added, describing the serpent’s reluctance to perform the threatening actions required for the scene.The actor elaborated on the snake’s movements during filming. “He’d drop down the tube, and then he’d sort of slither down, and then he’d find a little warm spot,” Elordi explained, painting a picture of a creature far more interested in comfort than in delivering a convincing performance as a deadly reptile.

It’s great,” he explained, highlighting the simplicity of performing a non-verbal death scene after the complexities of earlier seasons.
