Table-toppers Peshawar Zalmi will be joined by James Vince, who will be available for selection for their next game against Multan Sultans. Vince was earlier bought by the franchise for PKR 30 million during the auction. However, his absence from the Zalmi camp raised concerns about his withdrawal from the league.
His joining was confirmed by Peshawar Zalmi’s owner, Javed Afridi, via a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“Big welcome to James Vince as he joins the Zalmi squad tomorrow!”
Vince’s strong PSL numbers
Vince is a seasoned PSL campaigner, having represented Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, and Multan Sultans across eight editions. Playing 56 games, Vince is second only to Rilee Rossouw as the most capped overseas player in the league.
He had been a part of Karachi for three seasons straight before he was released ahead of the auction this year. In all, he has 1544 runs in the PSL, averaging 29.69 with a 139.35 strike rate.
Zalmi will be glad to have him join the side, especially as three Bangladesh players, Tanzid Hasan, Shoriful Islam, and Nahid Rana, are set to leave after the fixture against Multan Sultans on Monday.
